How to use the Flooring Calculator
- Measure the longest room length and width.
- Enter waste for cuts, pattern matching, and damaged pieces.
- Enter package coverage and purchase at least the rounded package count.
How the calculation works
Total flooring = length × width × (1 + waste ÷ 100)The adjusted area is divided by the coverage printed on one package. Package count is rounded up so the planned area is fully covered.
Example calculation
A 5 m × 4 m room is 20 m². With 10% waste, plan for 22 m². Packages covering 2.2 m² each require 10 packages.
How to interpret the result
Complex room shapes and diagonal or patterned layouts may need a larger waste allowance than a simple rectangular installation.

- Transitions, trim, underlay, and labor are excluded.
