How to use the Attendance Calculator

How the calculation works
Attendance % = attended ÷ classes held × 100If attendance is above target, the calculator solves how many future absences keep the ratio at or above target. If below, it solves how many consecutive attended classes are needed.
Example calculation
Attending 42 of 50 classes gives 84%. At a 75% target, 42 ÷ (50 + x) must remain at least 0.75, allowing up to six additional absences.
How to interpret the result
The future estimate assumes every added class is either attended or missed as stated. Institutional rounding and absence policies may differ.
Notes and assumptions
- Attended classes cannot exceed classes held.
- All classes have equal attendance weight.
- Official exemptions, excused absences, and policy rounding are excluded.
